For the first time, EULiST had its own stand (number B02) at the EAIE Annual International Education Conference and Exhibition, which took place in Toulouse, France from 17-20 September. This is an important milestone for EULiST, as it is the first time it has participated in such a prestigious international exhibition dedicated to education.
Indeed, this is the first time that European University Alliances, a flagship initiative of the European Commission and its European Education Area, will participate in a major international conference, giving the international higher education community the opportunity to better understand the dimension of the European University Initiative, which today co-finances a total of 64 Alliances.
By showcasing their collaborative efforts and stimulating a range of joint activities, the European University Alliances will pioneer a new paradigm of cooperation in higher education and pave the way for a leading role in shaping the global academic and research landscape. They will also provide an insight into their contributions as key actors in a transformative approach aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), considering higher education as a catalyst for building a more resilient, sustainable and equitable society.
In addition, EULiST participated in the FOR-EU side event on partnerships ‘Internationalising European University Partnerships: The New Frontiers’ on Tuesday 17 September. This event served as an important platform to discuss the future of European university partnerships and ways to foster international cooperation.
EULiST’s presence at EAIE 2024 provided an invaluable opportunity to present its main objectives and innovative activities, as well as to actively interact with visitors and strengthen partnerships with academic leaders.
