Pablo T. Salvadores, Director of Internationalisation at the Universidad Rey Juan Carlos explains what the long-term European inter-university joint strategy for education consists of to the media agency Antena 3 as one of the objectives of the European university alliances initiative after a press conference in which the Vice-President of the European Commission, Margaritis Schinas, confirmed the creation of these degrees valid throughout the EU.
In order to reach perfection in the European education system, the aim is to work on the design and creation of European university degrees so that the studies of the same degree, master’s degree and even doctorate can be conducted in different countries through joint programmes. Thus enhancing student mobility and offering a more complete education. The implementation of these new programmes will be a milestone on a par with the development of the Erasmus+ programme itself.
This initiative is feasible thanks to three key elements: joint programmes, a European system of quality assurance and recognition of higher education and the recognition and reward of professionals working in cross-border education.
