On May 19th and 20th, a delegation from Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC), led by Vice Rector María Luisa Humanes Humanes, visited the National Technical University of Athens (NTUA) to reinforce the strategic partnership within the EULiST Alliance. This bilateral meeting, attended by 12 members of the URJC delegation, marked a significant step in fostering academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.
The event was inaugurated with opening speeches from prominent academic leaders, including Professor Ioannis K. Chatjigeorgiou, Rector of NTUA, who welcomed the URJC delegation and emphasized the importance of international cooperation in advancing the objectives of EULiST.
Following the inauguration, Pablo T. Salvadores, Director of Internationalization at URJC, and Santiago Gómez, Academic Director of International Research Promotion, provided a comprehensive introduction to URJC. Their presentation outlined the university’s academic strengths, its international outlook, and the research initiatives currently underway. They underscored URJC’s dedication to promoting research excellence and fostering global partnerships.
The URJC delegation also included representatives who delivered presentations on behalf of their respective faculties and schools, sharing insights into their educational offerings, research activities, and opportunities for collaboration:

- Fuenlabrada School of Engineering
- School of Advanced Computer Engineering
- School of Experimental Sciences and Technology (ESCET).
