The opening of several calls for proposals of relevance to the European Universities Alliances has been announced, along with information sessions offering additional details on the calls.

          1.Erasmus+ European Degree Pathway Projects

 The Call ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PI-FORWARD-HE (European Degree Pathway Projects) is now open for submission.

With a budget of EUR 7 Million the call will support Member States to work jointly with their quality assurance and accreditation agencies, universities, students, economic and social partners, to implement the joint European degree label and continue exploring towards a European degree.

The call deadline is 3 March 2026.

The Info Day for both calls on the Erasmus+ European Degree Pathway Projects &  European Degree Exploratory Action is planned for 13/01/2026.

 

         2. Erasmus+ European Degree Exploratory Action

 The Call ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PE-EUED (European Degree Exploratory Action) will be published on 17/12/2025

 With a budget of EUR 14 Million, the call aims to support higher education institutions to adapt existing joint programmes and design new ones, in line with the joint degree label criteria, as well as support inclusive approaches for students participation in joint programmes.

 

        3. EIT HEI Initiative call 2026

 The call Call for Proposals 2025 – EIT Higher Education Initiative is now open for submission.

Topic 2 under this call is specifically targeting the European Universities alliances:Topic 2 aims to support the European Universities alliances (EUAs) in strengthening their innovation and entrepreneurship capacity through long-term strategic cooperation with the EIT and its Knowledge and Innovation Communities (KICs), Europe’s largest innovation ecosystem. Applicants are encouraged to design proposals that enhance institutional innovation capacity and foster sustainable partnerships and collaboration with the EIT KICs, contributing to Europe’s competitiveness and resilience in strategic sectors.”

Indicative budget for Topic 2 is EUR 34 Million, with budget per project up to EUR 2 Million for 2 years.

The call deadline is 3 March 2026.
