His Majesty King Felipe VI visited Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) in Móstoles to attend the final stage of the ‘Tour del Talento’, an initiative by the Princess of Girona Foundation aimed at empowering young people across Spain. The event was also attended by the President of the Community of Madrid, Isabel Díaz Ayuso, the Government Delegate Francisco Martín Aguirre, and URJC’s Rector Abraham Duarte.

During the session at URJC, four previous Princess of Girona award recipients (Soleá Morente, Victoria Luengo, social entrepreneur Begoña Arana, URJC alumnus and inventor Guillermo Gaunas, and talent and entrepreneurship expert Sergio Álvarez) shared their personal journeys and encouraged the student audience to pursue authenticity, work hard, and use technology as a force for social good.

The event also featured leading business figures such as Verónica Pascual (ASTI Foundation), Sonia Marzo (Microsoft), Ignacio Rodríguez Solano (Renault Foundation), and Jacobo San Nicolás (Radisson Hotel Group), who discussed the impact of artificial intelligence on the workforce and the importance of lifelong learning.

The day concluded with a musical performance by Soleá Morente and continued at Teatro del Bosque with the CongresFest, offering further inspiration and networking opportunities for young attendees.

This event exemplifies URJC’s commitment to fostering youth talent and innovation, values that align closely with the mission of the EULiST alliance. By hosting such high-profile initiatives, URJC strengthens its role within EULiST, promoting collaboration across Europe to empower the next generation of leaders in society and technology.
