On March 4th, 2025, Rey Juan Carlos University (URJC) hosted a significant event titled “Professional Opportunities in the European Union: EU Careers Student Ambassador” at its Vicálvaro and Fuenlabrada campuses. The seminar, which aimed to inform students about internship and career opportunities within EU institutions, featured a special presentation on the European Universities Linking Society and Technology (EULiST) alliance.

The event began with an opening address by María Luisa Humanes, Vice-Rector for International Relations and leader of EULiST’s WP5. Following this, Juan Manuel García Camús, EULiST’s Local Coordinator at URJC, introduced the EULiST Alliance, emphasizing the unique opportunities it offers to students.

Marta Fernández del Moral, URJC’s EU Careers Ambassador, provided an insightful presentation on the European Personnel Selection Office (EPSO) and EU Careers. The seminar also featured a panel discussion with URJC alumni who shared their experiences working in prominent EU institutions such as the European Parliament and the Council of the European Union. Their insights offered attendees valuable advice on navigating selection processes and building careers within the EU.

Through its participation in this event, EULiST reaffirmed its dedication to fostering student development by connecting academic learning with professional opportunities in European contexts. This collaboration highlights EULiST’s commitment to empowering students to engage with international institutions and broaden their career horizons.
