The Universidad Rey Juan Carlos (URJC), as a partner of EULiST invites two members of the EULiST Alliance per university to participate in 16 hours on-line “Preparing R&D + i Projects Horizon Europe” course.

Why take this course?

Taking a course in writing innovation and research projects for Horizon Europe is crucial for those who want to exploit the potential of this new framework programme, which has a budget of €97.6 billion. With Horizon Europe, the European Union has introduced important changes compared to Horizon 2020, such as new pillars, sub-programmes and quality criteria aimed at increasing the impact of R&D&I projects at European and international level. This course will enable participants to learn about these changes and draw on the lessons of the previous programme, helping them to understand how to get involved in key processes such as consultations, missions and partnerships.
In addition, the training provided in this course will help to develop the skills and competences needed to prepare competitive proposals adapted to the new Horizon Europe guidelines. Participants will learn how to identify impacts, update the scientific and industrial state of the art and apply the new European criteria in market-oriented projects. This is essential in such a competitive context, where mastering the technical and strategic aspects can be decisive for success in obtaining funding and international cooperation in research and innovation.

In this way, the course objectives will be covered:
• You will know the pillars, subprograms and actions of Horizon Europe.
• You will become familiar with its new entities and financing instruments.
• You will develop a set of skills and capacities that will allow you to explore new opportunities and optimize your financing strategy for R+D + i 2021-2027.
• You will discover and understand the new Horizon Europe quality criteria, its strategic priorities and the success factors for writing and submitting competitive proposals.
• You will become familiar with new terms, tools and technicalities Horizon Europe.

• Monday 2.12(2024): from 14:30h to 17:30h

• Thursday 23.01: from 14:30h to 17:30h
