As you know, Rey Juan Carlos University belongs to the EULiST alliance – European Universities Linking Society and Technology. Now, as a URJC lecturer, you have the opportunity to actively participate as a contributor and speaker in the series of webinars entitled ‘Professional Faculty Development’ organised by EULiST’s Task Group 3.2 – Innovative Teaching and Learning.
This series is designed to foster professional teaching development, promote innovative teaching methodologies and encourage the exchange of experiences among teaching staff at the alliance’s partner universities. Through these webinars, you will be able to share your knowledge, inspire colleagues and contribute to a European academic community focused on educational quality. The upcoming webinars are:
1. (Re)Designing Your Course with Open Science: How to Use and Create Freely Licensed Materials for Digital and International Teaching

Taught by Deborah Sielert and Dr Lena Greinke (Leibniz University Hannover).
This session will address how to incorporate open science resources and freely licensed materials into curriculum design and international teaching, promoting more accessible and collaborative teaching with a digital focus.

2. Flipped Classroom: the methodology you need to use other methodologies

Session led by César Cáceres Taladriz, senior lecturer at URJC.
This webinar focuses on the flipped classroom methodology, analysing how it can serve as a platform for integrating other active methodologies into university teaching and maximising student participation.

Contributions are sought in the following areas:
- Innovative teaching and learning methodologies: help teachers transform their pedagogical approaches through innovative methods that deepen student engagement and learning.
- Social skills development: share your experience in fostering fundamental skills such as communication, leadership, adaptability, and teamwork in academic settings.
- Technology integration in education: illustrate effective strategies for incorporating technology to enrich classroom experiences and expand learning opportunities.
- Assessment techniques: offer your strategies for implementing fair, comprehensive, and efficient assessment techniques.
- Interdisciplinary teaching and learning: Present approaches to interdisciplinary education that foster holistic understanding and collaboration across fields.
The webinars will last between 60 and 90 minutes, divided into 45-60 minutes for sharing your experience and 20-30 minutes for discussion, and will be offered on the LUH’s Stud.IP platform.
Participating as a contributor allows you to:
- Share your teaching experience with colleagues from across Europe.
- Contribute to educational innovation in an international context.
- Network with teaching staff from other EULiST universities.
